No time for creating with fabric so I'll create with food

Having a BBQ at son and daughter in law house.  Were doing it at there house because they invited and I was planning on having a dinner for my brother who is in town for a short time and we just put the two together.  I have been doing some kind of food prep, bake, or cook since I woke up at 6:00 am.  I have made a potato salad (no onion ~ daughters request), baked beans, banana cake (still needs to be frosted) . Now its time to go clean that mess up.  I'll try to have some interesting pictures to put up tomorrow.  Spring is sure in the air, I open my windows and the cool fresh air blows in, the curtains blowing in the wind and all the different birds I hear chirping outside my window, I love spring

Spring Bracelets ~ Citrus Candy & Pink Turquoise Flower Button

I have been moved to work on my jewelry lately, I made a couple of spring inspired bracelets
1) this one I used those pretty pink turquoise beads surrounded by clear swarovski crystal beads with a beautiful vintage glass button.  The button is clear with gold in the center and a pinkish tint coming out from the gold center.  I used a heart toggle clasp for its closure.
2) This bracelet I used these 3 lampwork beads in yellow orange and green, they are surrounded by clear swarovski crystal beads, orange glass beads and yellow peach and light green glass butterflies.  When my daughter and I looked at this bracelet we both had the same two words come to mind citrus and candy and thats how that one was named.

This last one I think I'm naming it citrus candy and the pink turquoise with the vintage button one I'm not sure yet.

Butterflies at Midnight ~ Ruffle Purse

I finished butterflies at midnight purse with ruffles. Its very pretty, roomy, bouncy, fun type of purse / tote.  It has 2 big pockets and 1 small pocket.  This bag can be used as a purse, abasic tote, an extra bag to pack (because it folds up nicely in your suitcase), an overnight bag.  Here it is:

Purses I'm working on & other random things

I have been working on these 2 purses lately.The butterflies at midnight purse is in the process of getting the 2nd ruffle sewn on, I will be listing this bag on both Artfire and Etsy.

The cream ultra suede bag still has quite a few things to do.  Finish tacking the lining down, add a bottom panel on the inside, decide for sure if the bows are going to stay on the sides of the bag & if so to finish the hand sewing on the bows, some top stitching, some trimming of seams and dangling threads.

Out on my deck a short while ago I saw this:

Do you see in this picture right above how deer #2 and deer #4 are looking up at me, well just a moment before all 5 of them were staring up at me.  It  was pretty funny.  Have a lovely day.

Butterfly Purse / Tote ~ Re-Creating

I have been working on a couple of purses lately.  One is a new design, new pattern its very pretty. The other is a purse I already made and I'm changing it a bit by adding ruffles, it will be pretty.  I like the ruffles on some purses,  it gives them a bouncy effect.

Little Charmer Wristlet ~ Pink Ribbon ~ Small Purse ~ Cosmetic Bag

I finished my newest little charmer wristlet,  This is the pink ribbon little charmer wristlet:

This one is not listed yet, it will go into my Artfire studio .  The handwriting you can see in some of the pics says Love Deeply, Laugh Often, Live Simply.  The purse charm consists of the following beads / charms ~ mother of pearl beads, stars, moons, faux pearls, swarovski crystal beads & a pink rhinestone hope ribbon.  This little bag is very handy it can be used for a little purse, a cosmetic bag. you could give it as a gift and put extra little goodies into it.  You can use the little handle and have it dangle on your wrist, take off the handle and carry it like a clutch purse.  remove the charm and you can toss it in the washer & dryer to clean it. 

Great Tip for Firefox Users ~ Artfire Basic Sellers Studios

Ok, yes I am a basic seller on Artfire (which means its a free acct. with ads), I wish I could afford to go pro but for financial reasons I just can't afford to right now.  The one thing that bugged me was the fact that I had to have ads in my studio, but I can live with it because I accept the fact that its how it has to be.  I found a fix for that if you use Mozilla FireFox.  Google ~ ad block plus firefox.  After you have downloaded it when you go into a studio (such as mine kathisewnsew artfire studio) or any place else on the internet with ads right click on the ad then when the pop up box opens click add filter and waa laa its done and then you wont see that ad in any of the basic studios or elsewhere on the net.  When I did it in my studio I did it once for the ads on the right, and once for that gosh awful one on the left.  When I went shopping in the basic studios after that all the ads were gone.
Yesterday I received my new business cards and the pink rhinestone pink ribbon charms:

The charms I got to make a purse charm for my newest Pink Ribbon Little Charmer Wristlet (I'll take and post pictures of it later today).  I bought the charms from an etsy seller LucyCi , check out her work, its beautiful.

Time To Start A New Purse ............. ????????????? Crochet

Yes, it is. Although it can't be today.  Too much to do today.  My inspiration for my new bag is this:

 

 

This is a vintage handmade crochet drawstring bag, it was given to me for Christmas by my mom (thanks again mom, I love it).  Yes, that's right I'm going to pull out my crochet hooks and crochet a bag.  I'm thinking about using this pretty frilly black yarn I have to make my new purse.  I have to admit, that I really like to crochet and I'm looking forward to starting this new little purse.  I will post pics along the way.  

Twisted Bangle Bracelets ~ Matching Purse Tote

 

I made these colorful twisted fabric bangle bracelets and then hand beaded them.  I want to list them but each time I start to list them I just don't think anyone would buy something like this and then I put them away.  Well, the last couple of weeks I've had them sitting on my desk, waiting for me to find the right words to list them.  I decided to take a couple new pics post them here and write some ideas.

 

 

Bright, colorful, sparkle, fun, twisted, handmade, one of a kind, butterfly dangle, bangle bracelets, water safe, rainbow.................any other ideas??????????????? hmmmmmmmmmmm.  I wonder if I should list them on  Artfire or Etsy .  

 

This Purse / Tote is made using the same fabric as the twisted bangle bracelets, This bag is listed in my Artfire studio  .

New Wristlet ~ Old Skirt

I started a new purse yesterday.  Its another one of my little charmers wristlets.  I made it using another outdated skirt that I for some odd reason I really liked the fabric.  I'm not sure what to call this one, I'll just ponder that part for a while.  Here are some pictures of it in progress:

New Blue Wristlet / Small Purse with Purse Charm

I don't have much time today, busy, busy, busy But I saw this article and thought it was interesting.  LA Times article .

 blue leaf little charmer wristlet

 Blue Leaf Little Charmer. Its so soft, the fabric for the outside of this purse was made from an outdated skirt I found, when I saw the skirt I knew it had to become a purse of some kind. The outside of the purse feels like ultra suede, the lining fabric is a coordinating blue leaf cotton fabric.  This is such a pretty wristlet.
