... This is a custom order for my daughter that just graduated nursing school. She said she needed a large tote, something that will fit all the things she needs to take with her when she starts her first job as an RN. She likes to take her lunch with her, so I am making a couple of zipper bags lined with ripstop nylon that she can use to carry healthy snacks, make up or whatever she finds a use for. I had her go pick her lining fabric and she choose this Round About fabric from the Feelin Groovy line by Michael Miller and I already had this lovely gray ultra suede that she picked for the exterior of the bag. I have added a front pocket with a magnetic closure for things that she needs quick access to, I added 2 good sized slip pockets inside and 1 large zipper pocket to keep thing a little more secure. She wanted it to have 2 straps that are short enough so that she can carry it without dragging it but long enough to carry on her shoulder if she chooses to. I was running very low on the gray ultra suede for the bag so I pieced what I had together with that cool print I used for the lining and I think the straps came out looking great. Sometimes little goofs can be made and the adjustments make the bag even better and more unique. I am still working on finishing this bag, but I think I will be able to have it finished this weekend. Here are some pictures of the bag up to this point. I have one of the accessory bags finished, I used some heart fabric that I had made my daughter a scrub top a while back with and I will make another one from the tote lining.
Well, I'm off to go finish this bag.
Here is the finished X large tote bag I made for my daughter. It really came out nice.
Have a great day, Kathi

I love to crochet ...
I have created so many things in the last month and a half.
It started with making 100% cotton crocheted dishcloth/washcloth, I made these for my kids and my mom at Christmas. I've started using them for my dishcloths and they have turned into my favorite dishcloth.
Have a wonderful day :) Kathi

Butterfly Purse / Tote ~ Re-Creating
I have been working on a couple of purses lately. One is a new design, new pattern its very pretty. The other is a purse I already made and I'm changing it a bit by adding ruffles, it will be pretty. I like the ruffles on some purses, it gives them a bouncy effect.
The following are some pics of my new purse I'm making in progress, I designed this bag with an old favorite purse in my mind
